Dance Unlimited Repertory Company
Under the direction of Donna Grim, the Dance Unlimited Repertory Company is a highly acclaimed and award-winning group placing in the top ranks of national and regional dance competitions and sought after to participate in events promoting the local community and performing arts.
There are several levels within the the company, based on age and ability –
Lil’ Mini, Mini, Petite, Junior, Junior Elite, Senior, Senior Elite
WE BELIEVE
A supportive and positive environment combined with high standards and feedback set a culture of learning that allows our young people to develop and grow important life skills like responsibility, teamwork and respect. Our environment increases self-esteem and enables our students to move forward on their artistic journey.
WE TEACH
We build skills, confidence and character through training, performance, mentorship and community involvement. The teachers and choreographers of the Dance Unlimited Repertory Company are nationally recognized.
WE PROVIDE
Since 1987, the Dance Unlimited Repertory Company has provided pre-professional training to students age 4 through 18 in an environment designed to simulate the conditions and standards expected in professional dance careers.
WE ARE PART OF SOMETHING LARGER
We are part of Other Voice, Inc., which also runs Other Voices Theatre. This partnership facilitates versatility, creativity and growth in performing arts training. Company Members take acting class as part of their program requirements and have the opportunity to audition for and perform in Other Voices’ Theatre Productions. This additional training element is a differentiator in dance training in the Frederick area and promotes the ability and confidence to tell a story through dance.
WE GIVE BACK
The Dance Unlimited Repertory Company values community and promotes the arts by performing in parades, festivals, retirement homes and schools. Other Voices, Inc annually produces The New Adventures of Alice in Wonderland, an original dance theatre adaptation of the classic featuring the Dance Unlimited Repertory Company and professional actors from the region. This family show, with choreography by Donna Grim and libretto by Susan Thornton and Steve Steele, has become a tradition in the Frederick community.

Other Voices is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that needs funding from many sources to cover expenses such as choreography, music rights, sets, props, costumes and travel.
